Large Marge Sent Us

Here on the Large Marge Sent Us podcast, Sweety and Sweetie are our names and nostalgia is our game! Once a week (or more if you're lucky!) we watch movies from the 80s and 90s that shaped our childhoods and then have a sisterly chat about them. We usually sing songs and there's about a 100% chance we'll crack up with bouts of laughter. We hope you will too! So come join us and step back into a time when life was good and the movies were even better Logo created lovingly by Frankie Donlon. Follow us on Twitter @TheSweetieClub and on Facebook!

Today we return to the magical land of Indiana Jones, as we dive into our least favorite of the Indy trilogy (no, we do not count Kingdom of the Crystal Skullz) The Temple of Doom! Released in 1984, is actually a prequel to Raiders, and although we kind of hate it, we do admit that it is ACTION PACKED. It's filled with nail biting 'how will they get out of this scenarios', elaborate set pieces, and the charming comic relief of Short Round. We'll talk about why we think it's commonly know as the least favorite of the Indy films, how Willie Scott single-handedly set the women's movement back by about 100 years, and Sweety tells a moving story about accidentally watching Lion without subtitles. So join us, and our bud Mola Ram as we venture into the Temple err....... cave-like structure thing of Doom!

Theme song performed by Deidre Cullen. Logo designed by Frankie Donlon.
