The year before Y2K, just as we were all getting ready for the world to end but also sort of loving the new technology that seemed to be streaming our way at lightening speed, The Matrix was released and boy did that F a lot of people up! Starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie Anne Moss and Laurence Fishburn, and a brand new cinematic technology called Bullet Speed. Whoaaaaaa. We didn't see this movie in theaters when it came out (not the biggest sci fi fans) but certainly remember the to-do it caused and spoofs it spawned. Watching it nearly 25 years later, and the flick holds up and we're still concerned ... are we just all in The Matrix guys??? We talk about other past big deal film technologies that we've been lucky enough to be alive for (still waiting for 3-D to really be cool!), continue to wax on about how Keanu is the greatest human alive, and how Joe Pantoliano aka Matrix Mole aka Frances Fratelli just always plays a bad slimey dude. Would you take the blue pill or red pill???
